The Return Of MWOT™
After a hiatus of over 7 years Miniature World
of Trains™ is planning on a return.
From July 2012 until July 2015 the non profit
BETA Test version of the Miniature World of Trains™ operated in
downtown Greenville, SC. The main computerized MWOT™ display was
created by a team of 20 volunteers over the course of just 4
months. This location was used to test quick building methods
and to see if it would draw visitors. And it did!
Some 80,000 people visited from around the
world over the course of the two years of operation without
advertising before the lease ended and construction in the area
and lack of packing forced the closure of the venue.
Since July 2015 we have be searching for a
viable location and secure funding for a new for profit version
of the Miniature World of Trains™..
As of this press release the new for profit
Miniature World of Trains™ is currently reviewing three
different, excellent locations for the new version of the MWOT™
project. The first two are the Wade Location at 13,000sf and the
Wood Location at 15,000sf and the current favorite and preferred
Gold Location at 38,000sf.
Each location has plenty of parking and are
easily accessible.
After the success of the BETA test version in
downtown Greenville, SC we have been on a mission to find a more
viable location outside of the City of Greenville's downtown.
Back in 2019 we found two locations. One was a purchase location
but we lost the bidding war for that 60,000sf venue and the
other was a lease location of 14,000sf but the owner wound up
selling that location, then Covid hit and the venue search was
put on hold!
This past October the current investors in the
new for profit began the search for a new viable long term
location and have found the three mentioned above!
We should begin construction during the first
quarter of 2022 with the new Christmas Model Train Display™
which is set to open mid November 2022. Once this display is
complete Phase I of the new Miniature World of Trains™ display
will start construction mid summer.

Why are we sending this press release?
Simply stated we need your assistance to get the word out to
build
"Our World In Miniature"™
Currently we are in need of investors, donors
and people to work and volunteer to help build this one of a
kind group of displays here in the USA.
First, we are seeking to complete the minimum
funding of $800,000 in cash so that we can begin to build the
displays and secure the venue. People or businesses can invest
money into the for profit or they can donate money if they
choose.
Based on our projected profit and loss spread
sheets using the attendance of the BETA test as a base for
visitors attendance and the predicated monthly operating costs,
the new for profit should be a success!

IF PEOPLE CAN'T INVEST?!?!?
We are in need of volunteers from around the Greenville, SC area
and around the world to help build the displays. See the list of
available positions and jobs on our website.
We are also in need of a qualified DCC software programmer for
the computer program that will run the main display. As of this
email we have not fully decided on whether we will use JMRI or
Railroad and Co. software to run the display. Please contact us
if you would like to help with this.
Also we need model builders, tree and rock formation creators as
well as carpenters and electricians.
Model builders can work from home anywhere in
the USA. We will send you a model kit and then you send it back
to MWOT™. That is how most of the buildings that created the
BETA display where built!
We encourage individuals and clubs to help create the 100's of
structures needed to create the new displays
So people can join the team today!
